With two seasons under their belt, it's safe to say that the Riverdale cast is bonded for life, which they show by constantly supporting each another on social media. But we're not gonna lie, it's also low-key amazing when they deliver a sick burn to one another, too.
Lili Reinhart subtly shaded a Riverdale bestie earlier this week on her Instagram Story, where she posted a photo from the Pixar movie Coco that shows the film's main character strumming his guitar with his eyes closed, looking very much one with the music.
She captioned the photo with a funny dig (meant with love, no doubt) at costar KJ Apa: "This is how KJ looks when he plays guitar." TBH, we can definitely see where's coming from. As a musician both IRL and on Riverdale, fans have had plenty of opportunities to see KJ in action, playing his guitar and looking broody. Sure, he pulls a face or two, but who can blame the guy for really feeling the music?
Interestingly, KJ himself has actually scrutinized Archie's music skills in the past. Back in October 2017, KJ got pretty honest while talking about the reason that Archie's music wasn't actually as good as KJ's own original music. In KJ's opinion, fans shouldn't be too hard on Archie since he's not technically at the same level as KJ is IRL. While chatting with The Last, KJ said, "I don’t know how to say it, but we’re not at the same level, you know what I mean? Somehow I have to say that in not a cocky way, but he’s a beginner. Also, the songs that he writes, I don’t think I would listen to them. I do not have the same taste in music as him."
But regardless of whether Archie and KJ share their taste in music, they do share that eyes-closed, singer-songwriter vibe that Lili picked up on. Hey, we're always here for a good roast.
