A second location of “health conscious” restaurant True Food Kitchen opens Wednesday, November 6, at Avalon in the north Fulton County city of Alpharetta. True Food caters to people following an “anti-inflammatory diet” and serves a menu loaded with vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, and gluten-free dishes.

Located across from Crate and Barrel at the complex, the Alpharetta menu should be similar to the Buckhead restaurant and includes dishes for kids like an almond butter, banana, and apple sandwich and a chicken teriyaki bowl. Fresh pressed juices, wine, beer, and cocktails are also available.

True Food Kitchen opened its first Georgia location at Lenox Square five years ago. In July, Oprah became a major investor in the restaurant chain and now sits on the board of directors for the company. Oprah’s go-to order at True Food — the Tuscan kale salad and a Thai grapefruit martini.

Open Monday - Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.; Sunday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Weekend brunch, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
