The creators of Disney’s Star Wars theme park have revealed a first look at the Millennium Falcon.
Details of the park were shared earlier this year. It will be based across 14 acres at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Orlando, Florida, and at Disneyland in Anaheim, California.

Disney CEO Bob Iger revealed earlier this year that the new parks will open in 2019 – along with the release of Star Wars Episode 9, the final instalment of the current film trilogy.
A teaser that was shared in April also shared more details about a “remote village” that will form part of the parks. It teased: “The remote village was once a busy crossroads along the old sub-lightspeed trade routes, but the prominence of the outpost has been bypassed with the rise of hyperspace travel.

“Now home to those who prefer less attention, it has become a thriving port for smugglers, rogue traders and adventurers travelling between the frontier and uncharted space. It’s also a convenient safe-haven for others intent on avoiding the expanding reach of the First Order.”
Meanwhile, the latest film in the Star Wars franchise, The Last Jedi, is released today (December 14). In a four-star review, NME said: “The Last Jedi blasts the rule book to pieces, sending the Skywalker saga in unexpected directions. Not all its risks pay off, but its biggest wins outdo anything in the previous film.”
