Stickup Job

LOOKS LIKE THE STARS OF the Fox cop show "New York Undercover" got overconfident last week. Michael DeLorenzo and Malik Yoba ducked the start of filming on Monday. Instead, their agents pressed for creative input and a reported raise for Yoba from about $22,000 per episode to $75,000. Producer Dick Wolf called the salary demands a "virus," referring to the "Friends" cast's asking for $100,000 a show. By Tuesday, Wolf had killed off the strikers' characters, and on Wednesday was casting new leads. "I blame their management," Wolf said. (Neither star would comment on this.) By Thursday, the boys were back in blue--same script, same pay.
