Sinead, played by Katie McGlynn, appears to be embarking on a fun day out with her boyfriend and little Joseph, as the scene opens with them waiting at a bus stop.

However things soon go awry when Joseph's father Chesney walks past - who she has been struggling with since falling for Daniel earlier this year.

Furious at the arrangement the red head, who is out working with Tyrone, races over to face the trio.

After a seemingly heated discussion, Chesney is then seen grabbing his son back and storming off - leaving a shocked and disgruntled Sinead behind, while Daniel, played by Rob Mallard, looks on awkwardly.

The pair's relationship has been fraught over the last few weeks, due to the blonde's desire for Daniel.

However in a new trailer for Corrie released last week, Sinead appeared to have second thoughts about the new boy in town.

In the short clip, Chesney is seen collapsing on the floor after Sinead confesses to Daniel that she 'always' thinks about what could have been - alluding to her relationship.

It seems Daniel then lands himself in even more bother, as he appears to team up with Corrie's resident villain Pat Phelan. He is seen threatening Daniel, telling Ken Barlow's son to stay out of his business.

Chesney has been a fan favourite on the soap ever since he first appeared back in 2003.

Before Briony added: ‘We’ve found the person we want to marry and I want to be a young bride before everything goes south.

'Both our parents have been together for a long time. Sam’s parents have just celebrated 48 years of marriage and mine have been married for 34 years, so I want to get in as many years as we can.'
