The cities of Fayetteville and Bentonville will look a little different after this weekend. Fayetteville is holding their annual Lights of the Ozarks festivities at 6:00 p.m. The event includes the annual holiday parade and switching on of the lights. The city of  Bentonville will hold festivities all day Saturday, and the outdoor ice rink at Lawrence Plaza opens at noon. Nourishment is necessary for good health and the NWA Food Bank is hosting an event to ensure NWA has enough food for those in need. The annual Jewels of Giving Gala will take place at the John Q. Hammons Center in Rogers at 7:30 p.m. It’s an evening of food, dancing, silent and live auctions and it’s the main fundraiser for the Food Bank.  For more information click here

Getting into the holiday spirit could mean shopping! The NWA Boutique Show is happening Friday and Saturday at the Northwest Arkansas Convention Center. You can shop over 150 boutiques with gifts, home decor, clothing, gourmet food, children’s items, furniture and more. Good Day NWA’s very own Jason Suel will be performing Friday night with Ultra Suede at George’s Majestic Lounge from 6:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m.  There will also be an ugly sweater competition and awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Come dance the evening away to our retro tunes!  For more information click here

An initiative which highlights the stories of accomplished women and encourages others to dream big is coming to Fayetteville. Hello sunshine and the Together Live tour will host a two hour event sponsored by Walmart and Procter & Gamble. The event will take place at the Walton Arts Center at 8:00 a.m., and will feature speakers Jen Hatmaker, Bozoma Saint John, Geena Rocero, Sabrina Jalees and Cam.
