Memorial bricks to honor Sgt. Daniel Patron on sale

Memorial bricks are being sold to raise money to honor Sgt. Daniel Patron, the 26-year-old 2003 Perry High graduate killed Aug. 6 in Afghanistan while trying to defuse a roadside bomb.

Proceeds from the sale will go toward placing Patron’s name and picture on the Perry Veterans Memorial at Perry High School, 3737 13th St. SW.

The bricks can have three lines of text, with 20 spaces per line. Bricks can honor the living and the dead and any veteran.

Cost is $100. Checks should be made out to Perry Local Schools and mailed to Cindy Whetstone, 5309 Burlawn St. NW, Canton. The sale ends Dec. 1. For questions, email Whetstone at cwhet@neo.rr.com. An order form is online at perrylocal.org.
