Four Peet’s Coffee shops in Massachusetts closed this month, but the company says regulars of one location will be able to grab a cup of joe at their morning coffee joint again soon.
John Coletta, chief financial officer and interim retail president for the California-based company, said they shut three locations — Chestnut Hill, North End, and Newton Centre — because of business factors such as lease negotiations.
But the Beacon Hill location on Charles Street, closed since July 13 by the city’s Licensing Board, is expected to reopen once permitting is finalized, the company said.
Peet’s is working to secure jobs for employees who worked at the closed locations and says 80 percent of them are staying with the company. Four other stores remain open — Brookline, Harvard Square, Wellesley, and Lexington — and the company intends to open a new coffee bar in Sudbury by the end of 2018.

“Boston is a key market for us and we intend to continue investing in the region,” Coletta said.
