Real Madrid and Barcelona can both breathe a sigh of relief as Croatia coach Ante Cacic has revealed that the midfield duo of Luka Modric and Ivan Rakitic are to be released back to their clubs.

Following a 1-0 victory over Ukraine in Friday night's World Cup qualifier, the team is due to play Estonia in a friendly in Tallin at 18:00 CEST on Tuesday, but several star names have been permitted to skip the match.

Monaco's Danijel Subasic, Juventus' Mario Manduzkic and Fiorentina's Nikola Kalinic - who scored on Friday - have also been allowed to return to their respective clubs.

Staying with Cacic's squad, however, is Los Blancos midfielder Mateo Kovacic, who only played the final 10 minutes of the Ukraine victory and who should feature in Estonia.
