Officer killed in Rolette County, ND

A law enforcement officer is dead after a shooting in Rolette County, North Dakota.
Investigators say the incident started about 6:30 Wednesday night when police tried to stop a stolen pickup out of the Devils Lake area.
The suspect led four officers on a chase through Rolette County. It ended in a shootout when police caught the pickup at a back roads intersection.
Authorities say one deputy and the suspect was killed in the shootout.
Their names have not been released.
The North Dakota BCI has been called in to help investigate.
