Rockland Man Accused of Rape And Predatory Child Sex Abuse

SPRING VALLEY, NY — A Spring Valley man faces rape and sexual assault charges from two police departments connected to two people, one of them a child.

Ramapo town police said Roberto Ventura De La Rosa, 39, was arrested Oct. 3 after a joint investigation with the Spring Valley village police department.

The town police charges include Predatory Sexual Assault against a Child, a class A felony, and Course of Sexual Conduct against a Child in the first degree, a class B felony.

He was also arraigned on a Spring Valley Police Department charge of Rape third degree, a class E felony, stemming from a separate incident.

Ventura De La Rosa was arraigned in the Village of Spring Valley Court and sent to the Rockland County Jail pending future court proceedings.
