ORIGINAL STORY:

Anchorage Police are investigating a report for shots fired outside the Northway Mall.

According to MJ Thim, a public information officer for APD, said the preliminary investigation indicates a group of at least five men met in the parking lot in front of Shockwave Trampoline Parks. “They pulled out their weapons and started shooting at each other in a public parking lot to resolve their issue,” Thim said in a phone call with Channel 2.

Thim said when officers arrived the suspects were fleeing from the area. Three men, located in a maroon SUV with at least one bullet hole, were located in a parking lot nearby.

Three individuals are currently in police custody and being questioned, according to Thim. APD is still searching for two suspects, although a physical description could not be publicly released at this time. Thim said no injuries were reported.

Thim said several vehicles were also damaged in the exchange of gunfire.
