PUNTA GORDA, Fla.– Florida Highway Patrol responded to a single car crash on Burnt Store Road, Tuesday. The truck drifted off the roadway and overcorrected, crashing into a sign in the median and flipping over. According to the crash report, the driver of the truck was ejected from the car. The 28-year-old North Port man was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
