ST. IGNACE, MI - The body of a man was found along the Lake Huron shoreline, north of St. Ignace, and was taken to a Grand Rapids hospital for an autopsy.

Mackinac County sheriff's deputies recovered the body near the Evergreen Shores development Monday night, near the Mackinac County Airport, 9&10 News reported.

The body has not yet been identified.

Police have not said if they believe it's the body of a Wisconsin man who died when his plane crashed into the lake near the airport earlier this month. A day after the Labor Day weekend crash, wreckage was found in the lake.
