CLINTON - Theodore R. Harmon, 93, passed away at the Life Care Center of Nashoba Valley on Thursday, May 5, following a brief illness.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Ethel (Davis) Harmon.

He leaves nine children and their spouses, Janet Braddix, Barbara Marshall, Anthony Harmon and Patrick Harmon, all of Clinton, Malissa Harmon and Renee Harmon, both of Boston, Karen Talbert and Russell, Theodore Harmon II and Alicia, all of Leominster, and Thomas Harmon and Julianne of Westminster; his sister, Margie Terrence of Georgia; 21 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.

He is preceded in death by 11 siblings.

Mr. Harmon was born in Girdletree, Md., to the late Abel and Rachel (Jackson) Harmon. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean War, ultimately retiring from military service following a successful 20-year career. Mr. and Mrs. Harmon settled in Clinton to raise their family and he began employment with Genrad in Concord, where he worked for 20 years until retirement.

He was a man of great faith and active member of the community who dedicated time to WHEAT Community Service in Clinton and the Trinity Lodge AF & AM. He loved sports, watching the sporting events of his children and grandchildren, traveling and time spent in the company of his family.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 13, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton. A funeral service will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 14, at New Hope Community Church, 139 Sandy Pond Road, Ayer. Burial will later be held in Coolspring United Methodist Church Cemetery, Girdletree, Md.
