With Jacqueline Jossa bowing out of EastEnders in the coming months, the rumour mill has gone into overdrive about her future – but we're here to clear things up.

Speculation has been rife over the actress's plans over the past few days, with some reports even linking her to ITV's popular reality show I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!.

Other reports online have suggested that the 24-year-old star is "worried about the future" and concerned about how she'll support her family following the decision to write out her character Lauren Branning.

However, speaking exclusively to Digital Spy today (September 21), a source close to Jacqueline set the record straight: "It's completely untrue that Jacqueline is anxious or worried about her future after EastEnders.

"Jacqueline is a talented actress with a bright future ahead of her. It's too early to discuss her future plans but all will be revealed."

Meanwhile, Jacqueline's official rep has also firmly denied that she'll be heading to the jungle this year, telling The Mirror: "Jacqueline is absolutely not doing I'm a Celebrity."

Whispers from the set of EastEnders have suggested that Jacqueline's final scenes will air as part of a dramatic storyline.

She's bowing out alongside Lorna Fitzgerald, who plays Lauren's sister Abi.

The siblings' shock departure was confirmed earlier this month and is part of a big shake-up by current show producer John Yorke, who took over from former boss Sean O'Connor back in June.

Further details about how Lauren and Abi will leave are currently under wraps at this stage, but both are currently in major storylines on screen which will only get bigger towards the end of the year.

EastEnders continues tonight (September 21) at 7.30pm on BBC One.
