The Ocean Explorer from Belmar got out today in rough conditions and found a very slow bite as only four keeper blackfish were caught and not many shorts either. They will be shaping up for the holiday, but suggest Tuesday may be better weather-wise. The Big Mohawk didn't fish today, but they are looking to Tuesday if the snow possibility is minor.
The Golden Eagle was going to seek mackerel today, but only reported they won't be doing so Monday -- and won't until mackerel show up.
