Edwin Earl Crockett, age 82, of Elkton, MD, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018. Born in Landenberg, PA, on August 25, 1935, he was the son of the late Norman A. and Anna Montgomery Crockett.
Mr. Crockett served in the U.S. Army National Guard. He retired from Chrysler Corporation, Newark, DE, as an inspector. He was a member of UAW Local #1183, Newark, DE, Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge #851, Elkton, and Fraternal Order of Eagles, Oxford, PA. An avid horseman and cattleman, he loved maintaining his cattle ranch in Tennessee. A pilot, Mr. Crockett enjoyed flying his plane, horseback riding, and boating. He was a real cowboy.
Survivors include his children, Stephen S. Crockett, Fayetteville, TN, Diane V. Berardi (Robert), Denver, PA, Joseph A. Crockett (Nicole), Ephrata, PA, Dawn N. Coviello, Newark, DE, Donna R. Brackin, Oxford, PA, and Debbie S. Moran, Sarasota, FL; grandchildren, Jami DyAnne Berardi (Misti) and (Bob Smidga), Jessica E. Flinton (Edward), Edwin G. Crockett, Robert A. Berardi, Mary Grgecic (Steve), Lyndsay Brackin, Mackenzie Brackin and Sydney Brackin; great-grandchildren, Erinn Smidga (Kade Bosce), Broderick Flinton, Brycen Flinton, Steven Flinton, Skylar Flinton, Kyle Grgecic, Katie Grgecic and Declan; and sisters, Florence Brown, Lewisville, PA, and Ruth Fulton (James), West Grove, PA. He is also survived by 5 beloved nephews and a niece.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Crockett was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris Shuler Stout; second wife, Ruth Levering; and siblings, Norman Crockett, Jr. and Sarah "Sally" Main.
Funeral service will be held at 12 Noon, Friday, January 19, 2018, at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD, where visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Interment will be in New London Presbyterian Cemetery, New London, PA. hickshomeforfunerals.com
