Viera High's girls edged Merritt Island by four points while the Titusville boys won with a 24-point margin on Friday to claim Cape Coast Conference swimming and diving championships.

The Terriers scored 276 points to Rockledge's 252. Cocoa Beach and Melbourne boys tied for third with 232 points each.

The Hawks girls scored 303.5, just ahead of Merritt Island's 299.5. Titusville was third at 264 and Satellite (222) fourth. Viera didn't win an event but had a top-three finisher in four of 12 girls events.

Merritt Island's girls won two of three relays and had a pair of double winners in Taryn Dailey (50-yard freestyle and 100 butterfly) and Jenna Hess (200 freestyle and 500 freestyle). Titusville's Sarah Alderman was also a double winner, taking the 200 individual medley and the 100 breaststroke.

Titusville's boys won two events, both by Caleb Brandon (the 50 freestyle and 100 breaststroke).

Lucas Kravchenko of the Mustangs won two events, the 200 freestyle and 100 butterfly; and Cocoa took two of three boys relays.

Melbourne had a two-event winner in Kai Allred (200 individual medley and 500 freestyle), and Tim Nagy of Space Coast became the school's first diving champion, scoring 344.2 points.
