What are the best shoes to wear while walking your adorable dog on a perfect fall day? A pair of slouchy, ’80s-inspired boots, of course. The ever stylish Emily Ratajkowski wore a pair in white by the Amsterdam-based brand Wandler while on a walk in New York the other day. Ratajkowski styled the shoes with a bold and cozy Texas Tuxedo (think: skinny jeans in a dark blue denim and a jacket in a light wash), as well as a pair of rectangular black Ray-Ban sunnies.
Ratajkowski is giving us major Princess Diana vibes in this extremely autumnal look. And this makes sense, Princess Di has been at the peak of fashion’s zeitgeist this year. Most notably, Hailey Bieber dressed as the Princess of Wales for a Vogue Paris shoot. And there has been more than one think piece this year about the impact of her style on both women and men. There’s also a case to be made for the revival of the slouchy boot, which we’ve recently seen on the runways at Isabel Marant and Saint Laurent. It's a fun retro alternative to the classic knee-high boot and, as Ratajkowski suggests, just might be like the perfect shoe for the season.
