Kandi Burruss And Todd Tucker’s Baby Name Has ‘RHOA’ Fans Excited: It’s A Boy!

Kandi Burruss of The Real Housewives of Atlanta and her husband, Todd Tucker, just welcomed their first child together, and it’s a boy, confirms Us Weekly. The couple’s baby boy, who apparently doesn’t have a name yet, weighed in at seven pounds, six ounces.

Tucker, now a happy father, was more than excited prior to the birth, taking a picture of himself with Kandi in the hospital room.

“Todd and I have been waiting so long for his delivery and he is so very perfect,” Burruss told People.

Kandi Burruss, who had a relatively easy pregnancy, spoke with E! News last summer and stated that both she hand her husband were hoping for a boy. The couple both have a daughter from previous relationships, Kandi’s 12-year-old daughter Riley and Todd’s 19-year-old Kaela, with Kandi joking that “there’s too much estrogen in this house.”

Burruss had the pleasure of experiencing two baby showers and was well-prepared, even attending a brief class on what to expect.

“Todd and I, we took like a quick, little class of getting prepared for baby,” Kandi told Bravo TV. “I haven’t seen a baby in 13 years. I’m just kidding! I’ve seen one, but I haven’t really had to keep a baby in so long, so I needed a refresher course.”

It seems as if Kash is going to have to be taken off that list, which was a name that Burruss once declared would be her son’s name on previous seasons of RHOA. During Season 5, Kim Zolciak, Kandi’s friend, told her that she named her second son Kash in August of 2012. Apparently, Burruss had told Kim prior to this that she would be naming her son Kash.

Kandi was very angry, feeling that her friend stole her baby name after she had expressed that she wanted it for her own future son. Kim, however, completely denies any claims that she stole that name from Kandi, insisting that she doesn’t even remember Kandi telling her how much she liked the name Kash.

Even while Kim kept the name, Kandi was asked during her pregnancy whether or not she would use the name anyway, even if Kim named her son Kash.

“Now that Kim has used the name, we’re not going to use that name anymore,” the RHOA star said. “Now her son, that’s his name, he owns the name. Let him own it.”

Kandi Burruss did offer a hint as to what her son’s name could be. Speaking with Hip Hollywood, she said, “[W]e will try to use a portion of his [Todd’s] mother’s name in our baby’s name.”

Todd’s mother, Sharon, passed away in December of 2014.

With Todd’s mother’s name being Sharon, it might be likely that their son’s name will begin with those first two letters – or perhaps even just focus on “aron.” But even in the summer of 2015, the couple seemed open to taking name suggestions from fans of the show.

There’s no reason this offer still can’t be on the table, maybe it’s time for another round of suggestions now that their son is finally here.
