Galaxy Note 9 is now a little cheaper to own.

This flagship phablet from the Korean technology firm has been reduced in price making it a much more affordable option.

As a reminder, the Note 9 arrives sporting a giant 6.4-inch Infinity display which curves around both sides of the device.

There's also a huge 4,000 mAh battery, fast processor, dual-lens camera and the ability to add up to 512 GB of internal memory.

Like all Note devices, this latest model features the S Pen stylus which can now be used as a mini remote to take photos or control slide shows.

When the Note 9 originally went on sale last year, the phone would have set you back £899 but some new deals have now dropped this price.

Firstly, if you want to buy the Note 9 SIM-free there's a couple of decent discounts from Currys and Mobiles.co.uk who have both dropped the price of the Note 9 by £50.

Along with that cut, there's also a lower price on monthly contracts.

This means you can tuck the Note 9 in your pocket for as little as £23 per month which includes unlimited calls/texts plus 4GB of monthly data.

There is a £320 upfront fee to pay but the total over the two-year deal is £872 - that's cheaper than buying the Note 9 directly from Samsung.

If that upfront fee sounds a little too much then another deal offers 10GB of data for £32 per month.

This contract includes a £160 upfront cost with the total over two years setting you back £928.

It's worth noting that, although these deals are good, Samsung is about to announce its new lineup of devices.

The Korean technology firm announced last week that it will be unveiling all at one of its famous Unpacked events in London on February 20.

It's thought this event will be where Samsung will reveal its new Galaxy S10 devices with a trio of phones expected to be shown to the world.

These could include a standard S10 along with a cheaper S10E and larger S10 Plus.

Although there's confirmation of what new features will arrive on these phones it's thought a larger fully edge-to-edge screen, triple rear camera and embedded fingerprint scanner could be included.

Express.co.uk will be at the Unpacked event and will bring you all the news live as it happens.
