Kadampa Meditation Center Hosts Weekly Online Classes

The meditation series, Meditations to Heal Our World, offers weekly classes to learn mediations and unlock the power of compassion.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX—In the midst of challenging moments, it's important to make time to restore calm and peace into daily life. The Kadampa Meditation Center Austin and senior Kadampa teacher, Laura Morrison, invite the community to a weekly meditation series, Meditations to Heal Our World, on the teachings of the true meaning of compassion. The classes are a chance to learn mediations to develop the powerful mind, and offers timeless advice to be of benefit to others.

On Sunday, Oct. 18 from 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. the class discusses Accepting Defeat & Offering the Victory, and will include enlightenment, insight and a chance to ask questions. The class is followed by a virtual social time to chat with spiritual friends. This event will be held online via Zoom and participants are asked to register at least 15 minutes ahead of the start of the event to participate in the live stream. Classes will be available online for 3 days following the end of the live stream.

The classes are suitable for all levels of experience, and all are welcome to attend the virtual classes. $12/class; $6/senior or student, free for KMC ATX members.
