Partial Roof Collapse, Overturned Semi Reported in Bedford Park

Roof collapses at PCA Chicago Sheet after powerful storm rolls through Bedford Park on Thursday afternoon, NBC Chicago reports.

BEDFORD PARK, IL -- A warehouse roof in Bedford Park partially collapsed Thursday afternoon after a powerful thunderstorm rolled through the area. A semi-truck was also overturned at the site, NBC Chicago reported. Motorists are advised to avoid the area.

The incident happened around 3:30 p.m. at the PCA Chicago Sheet, 5445 West 73rd Street. Power lines and other buildings were also damaged. No injuries have yet been reported. It is unknown if the area was stricken by possible microburst.

PCA is full-service supplier of corrugated products, including shipping containers, protective packaging, point-of-purchase (POP) and point-of sale (POS) displays and a wide assortment of packaging supplies, according to the company’s website.
