CHILDREN were thrilled today - and one or two younger ones rather scared - when a dinosaur roamed the streets of York city centre.
Tybalt the T-Rex made an appearance in St Helen’s Square and nearby streets to promote the staging of Dinosaur World Live at York Barbican on April 15 and 16, which will use puppetry to bring life-like dinosaurs to the stage.
Rose Downes, of Stamford Bridge, said she had brought her grandson Reg, two, into town to see the dinosaur after reading about it in The Press.
She said he had put his dinosaur wellies on and been really excited at the thought o Caf meeting one but when it came to it, he became frightened.
Tobias Cannon-Wilde, three, of Wilberfoss, enjoyed his meeting a little more, even stroking Tybalt's head.
