Blizzcon returns to Anaheim, California later this year with more eSports tournaments and events based on Blizzard’s most popular games.

It will be the 12th time that Blizzard Entertainment has held the convention and fans can buy tickets to attend it or buy virtual tickets that lets them watch streams at home.

As well as tournament and panels, the event also hosts cosplay and talent contests, as well as opening and closing ceremonies that often feature a special guest performer.

If you want to keep up with everything that happens at this year’s Blizzcon then here is everything you need to know.

When is Blizzcon 2018?

The main Blizzcon event will take place on 2 and 3 November and it is open for fans to attend as well as stream from their homes.

However some group stage and qualifying rounds will be played for some of the eSports tournaments in the days leading up to the convention.

The opening week will also include developer panels and various other events.

How to get tickets and watch the event

Tickets to attend the convention are now sold out but there are still ways to keep up with everything that happens.

Blizzard is once again selling virtual tickets for the event which gives fans instant access to live stream coverage of everything that happens.

The virtual ticket is available to buy for £34.99 and it gives access to the panels and stage events as well as behind-the-scenes videos and the Blizzcon 2017 archive.

Fans who buy the virtual ticket will also be able to play the World of Warcraft Classic demo that is available at the convention.

Ticket holders will also get special in-game prizes from Blizzard’s various games including Overwatch, Hearthstone and Starcraft II.

Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment said: ‘“We created BlizzCon as a celebration of our global community, but not everyone can travel to the show, so the Virtual Ticket gives us a great way to bring BlizzCon to gamers around the world”.
