Alton Brown, Led Zep tribute, Odd Squad coming to Mann Hall

Celebrity chef Alton Brown is bringing his unique brand of food-science fun back to Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall next year. But he’s not the only one paying a visit to the south Fort Myers venue.

Mann Hall has been busily announcing upcoming shows for its 2016-2017 season, including country star Martina McBride, kids show Odd Squad Live, America’s Got Talent winner Terry Fator and more.

Here’s a look at what’s coming:

Odd Squad Live! (Wednesday, Nov. 9) This touring show allows “junior agents” to interact with Ollie, Otto and the other young government investigators from the hit PBS kids show “Odd Squad.” Audiences help figure out the strange occurrences happening in their town. Tickets are $25-$45.

Martina McBride (Thursday, Dec. 8) The country star is touring in support of hew new album "Reckless" and its current single "Just Around the Corner." McBride’s other hits include “Independence Day” and “This One’s for the Girls.” Tickets are $39.50-79.50.

Pink Martini (Friday, Jan. 20) This eclectic, cult-favorite band calls itself a “little orchestra” and plays a quirky mix of classical, Latin, jazz, classic pop, cabaret, swing, world music, lounge and other musical genres. Tickets are $39.50-$59.50.

Vocalosity: The Aca-Perfect Concert Experience (Wednesday, Feb. 1) Artistic producer Deke Sharon of “The Sing-Off” and “Pitch Perfect” has developed this all-new a cappella concert. Vocalosity features an ensemble of young vocalists performing new arrangements of hit songs in 12-part harmony. Genres range from doo-wop to Gregorian chants to Bruno Mars. Tickets are $29.50-$49.50.

Terry Fator (Saturday, Feb. 25) The entertainer won season two of “America’s Got Talent” with his combination of singing, comedy, ventriloquism and celebrity impressions. Now he’s the second top-earning comic in the country, according to Forbes magazine (No. 1 is Jerry Seinfeld). Tickets are $49.50-$89.50.

Get The Led Out (Thursday, March 23) This Philadelphia group brings Led Zeppelin to life onstage, recreating some of Zep’s hits and deep cuts in all their bombastic glory. No wigs or fake English accents. This is all about the music. Tickets are $25-$35.

Cypress Lake grads Parker and Blakely Slaybaugh take Broadway

Alton Brown (Tuesday, April 18) The Food Network star extends his “Eat Your Science Tour” with 40 more cities, including Fort Myers. This “live culinary variety show” features audience participation, music, science and food. In a press release announcing the show, Brown said fans can expect “all-new everything including songs, new comedy, new puppets, and bigger and better potentially dangerous food demonstrations.” Tickets are $37.50-$150.
