The first date will actually be Wednesday, September 22 at an undisclosed location in New York and will be their first concert in 15 years.
The kick-off event is in support of Global Citizen Live which is a global broadcast event which is 'calling on world leaders to defend the planet and defeat poverty' and is set to air on Saturday, September 25.
The rest of the tour will begin in Chicago at the iconic United Center on November 2 and work its way across the US before finishing up in Africa with final shows taking place in Nigeria and Ghana.

The group's charitable fund will also partner with the aforementioned Global Citizen to work on philanthropic efforts around the tour.
Fugees have had a tough history together as they have disbanded twice - once in 1997 and again in 2006 - and Hill made light of that in her statement.
The 46-year-old Grammy Award winner said: 'The Fugees have a complex but impactful history. I wasn’t even aware the 25th anniversary had arrived until someone brought it to my attention.
'I decided to honor this significant project, its anniversary, and the fans who appreciated the music by creating a peaceful platform where we could unite, perform the music we loved, and set an example of reconciliation for the world.'

Pras, 48, did not provide a quote but Wyclef, 51, said: 'As I celebrate 25 years with the Fugees, my first memory was that we vowed, from the gate, we would not just do music we would be a movement. We would be a voice for the un-heard, and in these challenging times, I am grateful once again, that God has brought us together.'

The trio reunited in September 2004 for Dave Chappelle's Block Party before marking their first televised appearance in a decade at the BET Awards in June 2005.
They played a few dates in Europe together toward the end of the year before playing a free concert in Hollywood in February 2006 which ended up being their last show together.
The planned reunion tour and album did not materialize as relationships between the members deteriorated before they disbanded a second time in 2006.
