DECATUR, Ala. (WAFF) - Decatur police say one person was killed and others were injured after a fatal wreck on Alabama 67 just west of Refuge Headquarters Road.

The crash happened after 7 a.m. Tuesday.

Officers say five cars were involved in the crash, and all of them had airbag deployments.

Investigators determined a Chevrolet Tahoe lost control and hit two pickup trucks and a sport utility vehicle before colliding head on with a Nissan Versa in the northbound lanes.

The Nissan’s driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Police identified the victim as 30-year-old Ramsey Williams.

Police say one adult and two children were injured. All are listed in stable condition.

It’s unclear how it happened at this point.
