A 57-year-old woman died early Sunday morning in a fire in an apartment building in Labelle, in the Upper Laurentians.

A 57-year-old woman died early Sunday morning in a fire in an apartment building in Labelle, in the Upper Laurentians.

The fire broke out about 6 a.m. in the victim’s apartment, one of the du Moulin St.building’s four residences.

Neighbours managed to get her out of the apartment before the authorities arrived, but she was unconscious.

She was hospitalized in critical condition, and died shortly after.

The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
