Choral Music of Tudor England at St. Mary's Wayne

November 3 Evensong Features Music of the 16th Century

CHORAL MUSIC OF TUDOR ENGLAND

The 16th century choral music of Tudor England will be contrasted with the music of 21st century composer John Tavener in a Choral Evensong by the Choir of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, Wayne on November 3. The program begins at 4:00 pm.

Tudor composers Thomas Weelkes (Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis), Robert Parsons (Ave Maria), and Richard Deering (motets) will contrast dramatically with two sonorous motets of the mystical composer, John Tavener, based on Orthodox texts.
