A 22-year-old man has been charged with stabbing another person in a Jamestown park. 

Askia Faison was charged with first degree assault by Jamestown Police in connection with the Aug. 14 stabbing at Baker Park. 

Police say that it’s believed Faison and the victim were engaged in an altercation when the stabbing occurred. The victim and the suspect are known to each other, and the incident was not a random act of violence, police said.
