LeBron James seems pretty excited about the Anthony Davis trade: 'Just the beginning'

Anthony Davis is finally set to become a member of the Los Angeles Lakers once his blockbuster trade is finalized in July and no one is happier than LeBron James.

The Lakers superstar made his feelings known about the team’s big move through Instagram on Saturday night.

Given that James was a proponent of acquiring Davis to the point of alienating his younger teammates, he’s probably been waiting for this day for a while.

James also posted video on Instagram Live of himself listening to “Come and Get Me” by Jay-Z and “Don’t Disturb This Groove” by The System, so take that for what you will.

Could LeBron mean someone else is coming with ‘Just the beginning’?

The funnest part of the Lakers’ trade for Davis is that the team still has quite a bit of cap space with which to work with. Per ESPN’s Bobby Marks, the Lakers could have as much as $32.5 million in space if Davis waives a $4 million trade bonus.

As Yahoo Sports’ Chris Haynes reports, Charlotte Hornets guard Kemba Walker and Philadelphia 76ers forward Jimmy Butler are expected to be top priorities for the Lakers in free agency, and either player would probably give the Lakers the best top 3 in the league.

Whether or not James knows which player his team is going after, it’s clearly a pretty fun time to be LeBron James.
