Florence man dies after suffering burns in Saturday morning crash
20-year-old Ryan Joshua Pitts died at UAB Hospital. He had been flown from the scene to the UAB Burn Center.

FLORENCE, AL (WAFF) - A Florence man has died after suffering burn-related injuries in a Saturday morning crash.
The wreck occurred on Cloverdale Road, just north of Cox Creek Parkway, according to our news partners at the Times Daily.
20-year-old Ryan Joshua Pitts died at UAB Hospital. He had been flown from the scene to the UAB Burn Center.
Brad Holmes with Florence Police Department says that Pitt was suffering from burns covering forty percent of his body.
“Apparently, after the car came to rest, it burst into flames before anyone could get him out of the car,” said Holmes.
Florence police are still investigating this accident.
