Central Pa. man killed in overnight shooting

Police in York are investigating a shooting they say left one man dead.

Officers were dispatched at 12:56 a.m. Friday to the 300 block of East Poplar Street for a report of a shooting. Officers found an 18-year-old with gunshot wounds, according to a news release from police.

Police said the victim was pronounced dead at the scene by the York County Coroner’s Office.

The man’s identity will be released after his family is notified.

Police said more information should be released sometime after noon Friday.
