CBS 6 has a crew on the scene of a mill fire in Gloversville on 11th Avenue and Foster. This is across from the Kingsborough School.

Right now, authorities have blockades up in the area. It is residential surrounding the old building.

The fire started sometime before 8:00 am Saturday morning.

People who live nearby tell CBS 6 that the structure is a former leather mill, and that there is a strong odor, possibly from old chemicals once used in the mill.

Gloversville Mayor Dayton J. King is on the scene and has given CBS6 permission to share his video of the fire.
