DUMBO — An 18-year-old man was crushed by a trash compactor in the rear of a sanitation truck owned by a private hauling company on Saturday morning, police said.

Luis Camarillo, of the Bronx, was found unconscious and unresponsive outside 135 Plymouth St. by rescuers after the truck's compactor lowered and struck his torso at 10:28 a.m., police said.

He was rushed to Long Island College Hospital, but later pronounced dead, police said.

No arrests had been made, and an investigation was ongoing, police said.
