Shirley Jean Mathis, age 72 of Cumberland City, TN, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Centennial Medical Center.
A celebration of her life will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at the chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Bro. Stephen Cathey officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
The Mathis family will receive friends on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service Tuesday afternoon.
Shirley entered this life on November 21, 1946 in Carbon Hill, AL, daughter to the late William and Nadine Tucker. Shirley was a faithful member of Elk Creek Baptist Church, loved to shop and sew, but most of all loved spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, William “Alfred” Mathis.
Survivors include her loving children, Jeff Mathis (Krystal) and Shaunna Singer (Joe). Shirley also leaves behind her loving grandchildren, Sable Gudino, Carson Gudino, Callie Gudino, Lexie Mathis, Addison Mathis, and Riley Mathis.
Serving as pallbearers will be Brian Mathis, Chris Mathis, Gary Mathis, Mike Stanfill, Joey Brake, and Carson Gudino.
