Andrew Clarence (Andy) Horton
HORTON Andrew Clarence (Andy) Horton, age 86 died Thursday, September 27, 2001 at an Oklahoma City health care facility after a period of failing health. He was born February 7, 1915 in Garvin County, Oklahoma to James and Ada Crawford Horton. He grew up in Southwest Oklahoma and was a graduate of Humphries High School in Jackson County. He had been a long-time resident of the Oklahoma City/Mustang area most of his adult life. He was a machinist by trade, working in the auto engine rebuilding industry. He is survived by his wife Kathleen (Kathy) of the home, six sons Harold and wife Maxine of Mustang, Don and wife Glenda of Mission, Texas, Bob and wife Roma of Oklahoma City, Gary and wife Carla of Blanchard, Rick and wife Lanelle of Stella, Missouri. Russ and wife Evelyn of Norman and one daughter Andrea Fichte and husband Phil of Ft. Gibson. Also by sixteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, four brothers J.E., W.B. "Dick" and Jim Horton all of Oklahoma City and Bruce Horton of Wheatland, two sisters Edna Goolsby of Portales, N.M. and Erma Wilson of Wheatland. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Flora, two brothers Calvin and Arthur and two sisters Irene and Minnie Lee. Services will be held at 3 PM on Sunday, September 30, 2001 at the Mustang Assembly of God Church, Mustang, Oklahoma with interment following in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Wheatland, OK under the direction of McNeil's Mustang Funeral Service.
