UPDATE: One person dead after crash near Williston
UPDATE: Authorities have identified the victim as 37-year-old Jason Morgan of Williston.

One person is dead after an early-morning crash near Williston, Sunday.
The crash occurred at 1:32 a.m. on U.S. Highway 2 about 3 miles north of Williston. The North Dakota patrol said a 2007 Chevrolet Uplander was travelling north on the highway leaving Williston, while a Peterbilt was turning north onto the highway from the 85 bypass west.
Police say the Uplander failed to stop at the red light and struck the passenger side of the truck. The Uplander spun into the east ditch and came to rest facing west. The truck pulled to the right shoulder and stopped.
The driver of the Uplander, a 37-year-old male from Williston was taken to St. Alexius Medical Center where he died of injuries sustained in the crash.
Police say he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
The driver of the truck, 43-year-old Heath Weber from Lawton, ND, was not injured.
Also responding to the crash was the Williston PD.
The crash is still under investigation.
