The Stanley Hotel has sold its short-term rental and property management business, Range Property Management, to Vacasa. Range Property Management has been a partner with Grand Heritage Hotel Group and The Stanley to this point.
Vacasa is the largest full-service vacation rental management company in the country. In Colorado, Vacasa has over 630 vacation properties. Ryan Greer is Vacasa’s General Manager in Central Colorado. Prior to acquiring Range Property Management, Vacasa had a few homes in Estes Park. With this acquisition, Vacasa will now have dozens.
Greer said the acquisition of Range Property Management will help the company expand its Estes Park reach.
“This acquisition really gives us a foothold in the community,” he said. “Estes Park is a great tourist destination… we’re looking forward to getting in there and growing [Vacasa] even more.”
When Vacasa takes on a property, the staff handles marketing, booking and housekeeping services. For the homeowner, the company handles aspects like permitting and required licensing.
“One of the goals of this acquisition is to continue growing organically in Estes Park, building on our local team there,” he said. “We have two really good employees that we took over from Range. It’s really kind of helping us get more into the local community.”
Greer said he is confident in the future of Estes Park tourism.
“Estes Park just gets busier and busier,” he said. “I know they’re trying to build up their winter program a little more too so yeah we’re excited to see the growth there in the coming years.”
