A weather advisory for Saskatoon and other parts of the province was lifted early Thursday evening.

Environment Canada issued an alert of expected thunderstorms with conditions favorable for funnel clouds, late this morning.

Environment Canada said those funnel clouds could have developed into weak landspout tornadoes.

Landspout tornadoes do not cause significant damage but can still be dangerous. They can be strong enough to topple trees, damage roofs or toss debris a short distance.

There have not yet been any reports of funnel clouds developed.
