The storm was causing problems on the roads, and more trouble could come in form of heavy, wet snow that sticks to power lines (see local impacts below).

At least one person suffered life-threatening injuries when the driver struck a bus Interstate 78 in Hunterdon County, according to the State Police. Gov. Phil Murphy had earlier incorrectly stated during a conference call that the driver was killed (see road conditions below).

The storm appeared to pick up steam in Central Jersey and the Jersey Shore, where 2 to 3 inches were falling per hour going into early Thursday morning. The slush on the roads was quickly changing into snow and visibility on highways was no more than 1-mile-long .

Some areas, like Ocean City, Point Pleasant Beach and Atlantic City, were dealing with flooding as high tide passed (see below).

More than 130 flights at Newark Liberty International Airport were cancelled so far on Thursday. Check your flight status with airlines before traveling to the airport.
