The Bray brawler will fight in New York in April as her bid to break America begins

But according to The42.ie, Taylor will instead feature on Daniel Jacobs’ undercard on April 28 at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.

The 2012 Olympic champion — who is now 8-0 as a pro after successfully defending her world title against Jessica McCaskill — has yet to fight in Ireland.

The WBA World lightweight champion would likely not be the only Irish fighter on the card that night, with Cork middleweight Gary ‘Spike’ O’Sullivan the frontrunner to face Jacobs.

Taylor's most likely opponent is 28-year-old Argentinian Victoria Bustos.

Bustos has held the IBF lightweight title since 2013 and has an 18-4 record since turning pro six years ago - all 22 of her fights have taken place in Argentina.
