UPDATED: Boston College Men’s Hockey’s Kevin Lohan Injured in Assault at Restaurant in Downtown Boston, Out Indefinitely

Graduate student and current men’s hockey player Kevin Lohan was a victim of an unprovoked assault in Downtown Boston Friday evening, and due to the injuries sustained in the assault will be sidelined indefinitely, Boston College athletics announced in a statement Sunday evening.

The incident occurred at a restaurant on Boylston Street in Boston. The incident is currently under investigation by the Boston Police Department.

Lohan was a graduate transfer added by the Eagles for the 2017-18 season. After playing four years at the University of Michigan, Lohan transferred to Boston College to play one year for the Eagles, after retaining one year of eligibility due to redshirting his junior year.

Lohan has played in 14 games for the Eagles this season. He has three assists on the year.

The Eagles play the University of Massachusetts Tuesday evening at Kelley Rink. The game will be streamed on ESPN3 and the WatchESPN app.
