Residents in Venango County woke up to see some snow on the ground Friday morning.

Some residents in Pennsylvania woke up Friday morning to the first snow of the season.

A reader from Venango County submitted a photo showing a dusting of snow on the ground as of 8:45 a.m. Friday.

Snow was also reported in Erie.

National Weather Service in State College also reports that higher elevations across central Pennsylvania, such as Kane, are also seeing snow this morning.

While snow isn’t in the forecast for Harrisburg, rain is expected for the beginning of the weekend.
