Officials: Three locations fail alcohol compliance check in Wicomico Co.

Authorities say three Wicomico County locations failed a compliance check that happened this week.

The Board of License Commissioners for Wicomico County says on Thursday, Wicomico County Alcohol Task Force conducted a routine compliance check named "Operation Spot 
 Check" at 26 licensed locations. The task force includes Wicomico County Liquor License Department, the Maryland State Police, the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office, Salisbury Police Department, the Fruitland Police Department and the Wicomico County States Attorney's Office.  

Officials say the following 23 establishments passed: 

– Beverage Barn 1120 E. Church St., Salisbury MD.
– Cam Market 739 E. Church St., Salisbury MD.
– Country Farms 821 Priscilla St., Salisbury MD.
– Country Farm Store 104 E. Gordy Road, Salisbury MD.
– Eagle Express Mart 1212 N. Salisbury Blvd., Salisbury MD.
– Salisbury Quick Stop 2513 N. Salisbury Blvd., Salisbury MD.
– Your Pie 2300 N. Salisbury Blvd., Salisbury MD.
– Tall Tales Brewing Co. 6929 Heron Grove Ct., Parsonsburg MD.
– Chicken Man 824 Snow Hill Rd., Salisbury MD.
– Beverage Barn 444 Snow Hill Rd., Salisbury MD.
– Back Street Grill 401 Snow Hill Rd., Salisbury, MD.
– Brew River Restaurant & Bar 502 W. Main St., Salisbury MD.
– Roadie Joe's Bar & Grill 213 West Main St., Salisbury MD.
– Shore Stop 7126 Friendship Rd., Pittsville MD
– OC Road Beer & Wine 1300 Old Ocean City Rd., Salisbury MD.
– Red Fox 107 S. Fruitland Blvd., Fruitland MD.
– Denny's 100 E. Cedar Ln., Fruitland MD.
– Center City Exxon 500 S. Salisbury Blvd., Salisbury MD.
– Eastmoon 800 S. Salisbury Blvd., Salisbury, MD
– Irish Penny 1014 S. Salisbury Blvd., Salisbury MD
– Vibe Bar & Grill 1147 S. Salisbury Blvd., Salisbury, MD
– Agave Azul Mexican Cuisine & Tequila Bar 934 S. Salisbury Blvd., Salisbury MD
– Cheers 1324 S. Salisbury Blvd., Salisbury MD

According to officials, the following locations failed for an 88.5 percent pass rate:

– Walston Switch Sunoco 31997 Beaver Run Dr., Salisbury MD.
– Acme 751 South Salisbury Blvd. Salisbury, MD.
– Wetcher Whistle 1220 Old Ocean City Rd., Salisbury MD.

Authorities say the establishments who failed the compliance check will be summoned before the Board of License Commissioners for a Show Cause hearing. At the hearing, a fine, a suspension, or both may be levied against their license. 

Law enforcement says the clerks who sold the alcohol will be charged by the officers of the task force.
