Doctors Terry Dubrow and Paul Nassif are known for their work in the operating room, fixing the mistakes of other plastic surgeons and coming out with results that leave audiences in awe. But the fourth season of Botched, premiering on Sunday, will go beyond what happens in the office — including Nassif’s love life.

The 55-year-old surgeon, who specializes in rhinoplasties, has been divorced from ex-wife Adrienne Maloof since before the show aired. But his partner in crime, Dubrow, tells Yahoo Beauty in a pre-Season Four chat that viewers should prepare to view Nassif as he has never been seen before.

“He’s more relaxed, his tie is coming off, and we’re now learning what it’s like to be a single plastic surgeon dating in Beverly Hills,” Dubrow says. “And I will tell you that it’s often scary. It isn’t always pretty.”

A similar story goes for their work, which will lead the two doctors to push boundaries within their industry. From a client who wants to look like a Smurf to a patient whose nose gets reconstructed after 15 prior operations, the 12,000-plus cast for the show is seemingly less intimidating to the doctors than it might have been in earlier seasons.

“There is no better training than having done Botched, because if you see one of the difficult patients we do, a surgeon may see one in their entire career,” Dubrow says. “But we’re doing four of those types of things a week now.”

Adds Nassif: “It’s crazy, it’s very dangerous, and it’s risky.”

But both will be assure readers that, for them, it’s not impossible.

“Hard is now easy. Impossible is now doable,” Dubrow says. “And the new definition of impossible is Season Four.”
