Get ready for another fun week of live music in the Bay Area, highlighted by the Rocks In Your Head Fest in Orinda. Here are some of our top concert picks:

Rocks In Your Head Fest

As Cal Shakes regulars can tell you, the stage company’s Bruns Amphitheater is an amazing place to see a show. And the venue is now hosting concerts, on top of all the cool theater that regularly goes on there. And on  July 27, the lovely outdoor venue in Orinda hosts the Rocks In Your Head Fest.

The all-day festival features a way-hip indie music lineup of Shannon Shaw, Sonny & The Sunsets, Dynasty Handbag, Jay Stone, Younger Lovers, The She’s, Rays, Kelley Stoltz, the Gonks, Galore, April Magazine and Tony Jay.

Robyn

The dance-pop diva, who wowed fans back in February at the Fox Theater in Oakland, returns to the Bay Area for a July 25 show at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco.

Jill Scott

The soul singer got off to a great start in her recording career, as her 2000 debut album, “Who Is Jill Scott? Words and Sounds Vol. 1,” went platinum and produced a number of solid singles. Scott, whose most recent studio album is 2015’s “Woman,” performs July 26 at the Fox Theater in Oakland.

Rascal Flatts

The platinum-selling country act returns to Shoreline Amphitheatre at Mountain View on July 25. Jordan Davis and Morgan Evans are also on the bill.

Knotfest Roadshow

Slipknot is the headliner. But the biggest attraction for us is Gojira, the French band that stands tall among the best metal acts in the business. Volbeat and Behemoth are also on this very heavy bill on July 26 at Shoreline Amphitheatre at Mountain View.
