CCleaner continues to be one of the best apps to keep your computer in tip-top shape, so every single update is really important for its users, and now that a new Windows version is on its way, getting the program ready for it is quite critical.

Today, the developing company behind this project has rolled out CCleaner 5.08, a new version of the app that comes with several important improvements, including support for Windows 10 build 10240.

This particular build is said to be the RTM flavor that Microsoft sent to OEMs and partners, so it looks like CCleaner is finally ready for the new operating system.

Just like for all the other Windows versions out there, CCleaner provides you with advanced utilities to find and remove unnecessary files, delete temporary data that only takes space on your computer, fix invalid registry items, and look for leftovers that might slow down the PC.

Other improvements

CCleaner 5.08 also brings improved Microsoft Edge cache and saved password cleaning, which definitely comes in handy, given the fact that Redmond is betting big on its new browser and hopes that everyone upgrading to Windows 10 will use it.

At the same time, the professional version of the app includes Microsoft Edge browser monitoring, which keeps an eye on the app and removes any unnecessary files left behind when browsing the web.

Better support for some apps is also added, such as Foxit Reader 7 and RealTimes, as well as Avira Antivirus, BlueStacks, and Media Player Classic. For those who’re not into Edge and instead use Opera 30, CCleaner 5.08 also adds support for this new browser.

Hopefully, more updates for Windows 10 will be added in the coming versions, as the new operating system is just around the corner, but the current build is still worth a try, so go ahead and download CCleaner 5.08 right now.
